Bancroft-Rosalie Community Schools

After a disappointing 3-5 record last season, the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers Football team looked to bounce back. With a promising win over TriCounty Northeast Wolfpack, the Panthers were off to a good start. Looking to keep the foot on the gas, the Panthers defeated the Homer Knights on a missed game-winning field goal. After that the Panthers’ offense took off. Scoring 90, 74, and 70 in their next three games. The meeting of "two former compadres", as noted by KTIV faced off in week 7. The battle ended in a 54-42 victory over Lyons-Decatur. This moved the Panthers to 7-0 on the season. Week 8 would be the team's hardest challenge yet meeting the 5-2 Wynot Blue Devils and resulting in the Panther's first loss. Not only did the Panthers make the playoffs for the first time since 2014, but they managed to secure a home playoff game. This was a great experience for the team and for the community as it was the first home playoff game for the Panthers since 2010. The Panthers drew the 6th seed and played 11th seed, Fullerton. A close win 64-54 over Fullerton advanced the Panthers to the second round. In the second round, the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers faced off with the Jaguars of Howells Dodge. This ended their season with a loss of 54-22.

Despite the ending, the 2024 Panthers broke and tied several records this season. Senior Ayden Dolezal led the team with 100+ tackles on the season but did not exceed the record.
