The broadcasting class gives students a chance to join and learn different types of skills that will help them with the digital world, helping them with communication, troubleshooting technology, graphic designing, learning how to use a camera, and much more!
The class includes five students; three Seniors, and two Juniors. Only one student is new to the group and would like to learn more about it.
The class once used to be called STRIV but recently changed to a different program called HUDL leading to a better and more integrated platform of streaming and sharing game video.
Each student has different roles and responsibilities in the class. Students no longer have camera operations but still will comment during Varsity competitions and promote activities at Bancroft-Rosalie. Each game will have its own event on the calendar, so this will be an adjustment for students and the audience.
With the first semester almost finished each student has learned a new skill and was put to the test by broadcasting volleyball and basketball games. Students run the productions from start to finish and ensure everything is connected and online.
