The B-R Panther football team gathered this past Tuesday evening for an end of season banquet to recap the season, highlight school records that were broken and receive recognition for letter winners and other team awards. The evening was capped off with the team hoisting their 2024 State Football Playoff Qualifier plaque into place to be on display. The Panthers defeated Fullerton at home in the first round of the state playoffs before ending their season against Howells-Dodge with a final record of 8-2. Congrats on a great season and thank you seniors for your commitment to excellence and improvement these past 4 years!
Today, former B-R students, Grace Johnson and McKenzie Murphy, along with current B-R seniors, Natalie Bonneau and A.J. Wiese, provided a student perspective at Dr. Cerny’s breakout session on B-R’s Dual-Credit and Early College Program for the Nebraska Association of School Board’s State Education Conference at the CHI Center in Omaha. The breakout session included statistics and guidelines about how to develop and maintain a comprehensive program, which B-R has been building for over a decade. Dr. Cerny and the students fielded questions from college reps, school administrators, and school board members from across the state.
We are proud of what these students and other students have accomplished by being able to take college classes at the high school level. B-R is on track to have another eight students graduate with their associate degrees this upcoming May.

Reminder: The Dinklage Alumni Scholarship is due by November 30th at 10 a.m. You must include the following three items: a completed application, a copy of your unofficial college transcript, and proof of enrollment for the Spring 2025 semester. Use the link at the bottom of this article to access the scholarship. This scholarship is only for B-R Alumni who graduated in the Class of 2023 and before. Students must live in Cuming County to be eligible. You may only receive the Dinklage Alumni Scholarship four times before you become ineligible. Students who graduated in the Class of 2024 will not complete this application, as you already submitted your Dinklage Scholarship application in May.
